My project is a 3d printed version of my name. There are lights that will make the project light up and a butterfly to symbolize life. The materials I used include: Tinkercad, 3d printer, LEd bulbs, and hot glue. Originally, I was going to make a light fixture with different designs, but due to time, I decided to do something a little simpler. I did have a lot of fun experimenting with the designs on Tinkercad. I had a few struggles with getting the holes for the LEDs the right size, but I figured out how to get them the right size with the help of my friend Lena. If I had more time, I would elaborate my original idea (light fixture with designs about spring).
Will Weinbach and I built a sheep that sings Merry Had a Little Lamb. Besides the Hummingbird materials we used wooden sticks, wood glue, duck tape, and packaging peanuts. If I were to do this again, I would cover the entire sheep in cotton balls, and make it sing the song when someone waves their hand in front of it.
For my personal project, I want to making a box or light that shines a certain design. I will have to research different types of light bulbs and how I can it so I can change the light bulb when I need to. I will also have to learn how to use the lazer printer. I will need wood, a design, screws, a light bulb, batteries, wires, and the lazer printer. |
